A shoulder and arm blaster that is strange but worked for me

This is a real offbeat way i built some shoulder and arm power by having to use the passenger door on my car, because the drivers door top hinge is broken. Sounds wacky ?, i would have said so too but having done it now for 6 weeks its added to my training regime forever now.

Think for a minute, my car has a small centre console, like most modern cars have so when getting in and out of the car from the driving position to go out of the passenger door, i have to transfer my weight and twist going in and out on opposite sides.

I can tell you this, i have hit my shoulders and arms for years, and for the first two weeks i ached and hurt like i never had before. Then gradually from that first 2 weeks i do not hurt anymore and i feel really pumped up and even more important they are stronger for doing it.

Now a word of caution here, only do this on your own head. I do not want to be blamed if you suffer an injury ok. That said i added the following exercses to this as well, Timed hand stands along with dumbell and kettlebell shoulder presses, doing high reps say 15 each.

The timed handstands i did about 3 to 4 times for as long as i could, then did a reverse hand stand so im facing the wall, then did some “walking out and in” with my hands. This is a very good exercise but again only do it if you feel safe doing so and you already have some arm, shoulder and back strength to allow you to do it.

I will ad here when doing the handstands, make sure you have a pillow underneath you in case your arms give out, better to have a soft landing right !. You will find that after you have done this for a while you possibly will see extra strength in shoulder pressing as well at the gym.

By the way i still have not had the drivers door fixed, so i cant chicken out haha, i get in and out of my car at least 40 times a day, so you can imagine what the first two weeks were like. Have fun and stay safe. Oh and just ignore the funny looks you will get ok :)
