Work Outs for your Grip part three
Now we first concentrate on the Rolling technique to add to your ever expanding collection of work outs for your grip, the easiest way to get started with this is to cut off a length of a thick broomstick handle about2 ½ to 3 feet long
Then drill a hole down through it in the middle of the handle, get a length of thin very strong rope and tie a strong knot in one end and cut it to about 6 feet in length and thread it through the broomstick handle, now to start with tie a 5 k/g weight on the other end
Start rolling up the rope onto the broomstick handle and set it up so your hands are straight out in front of you and the weight just hangs down at floor level then keeping your arms straight and level
Start twisting the handle away from you and lifting the weight up to the handle then reverse this so the weight travels back down to the floor, after this from the starting position start rolling the handle towards you and then back down again until the weight is back on the floor again.
Another real good addition to your Grip work outs is another timed hold get a solid rubber ball and drill a hole right through the middle of it then get a long bar with a big eye on one side and a thread on the other
And push this through the ball and put a nut on the end of the thread so it does not pull out (some have a screw thread so put this in ) remember it has to take heavy weight then get a carbiner through the eye and rig it up to a short piece of chain or rope with weight on the end of it.
Holding the ball in the centre close your hand around it with the weight directly underneath and lift and hold for as long as you can and then do the same with the other hand, I love this as it really blasts your gripping muscles and forearms, you will feel your triceps working well too !
Try and do at least 2 Grip training exercises together each time you do these work outs and if you constantly practice and strive to get stronger with your grip sessions treat them the same as any other workout do the reps and sets and get strong !
